Had a great four years at R.H.H.S. Made some great friends, lots of whom I've re-found on Friends. Had some brilliant teachers (Mr. Thomas - what a laugh) and some not so brilliant. Moved from South Harrow to Mill End about 3 years ago and find myself working in education. Who'd have thought I'd go back to school!

Hi
what a great site, I lived with my nan in Walton Avenue until moving to Harrow in 1954. Married in 1961 have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. But I still haven't forgotten Mr. Beaks from the Junior School & Miss Gleason from the Senior school. Boy did I get into some rucks with her. Anyone else remember either of those teachers. Wasn't very good at school finished up in class 4S and left Christmas 1955. Irony I now teach, all be it in our home.

I travelled around England before returning home and met several old friends and relatives and it was fun to meet up again after so many years.

I have registered onto the Harrow County School for Boys website, and have found this one to just as good. I can remember finishing at Roxeth Manor in Class 4A, who had a Mrs Weekes as a teacher. I believe that she had a particularly good record of 11 plus passes. I can also remember the Head Mistress, a Miss Lewis, and also a Mrs Allison. I think that there was a Mr Beek, who was teaching us what was going to be the new international language, Esperanto.
I have lived in Swindon for 33 years, but would welcome contact from anybody of my era.

I left Rooks Heath in 1998. What can I say? We all loved Mr Walton. I think it was because he let us get away with murder. I think that we were the only year group not to have a year 11 photo. They tried twice but the film wasn't in the camera or when they developed the film, there was nothing there. Were we the cursed year? Many think so! We didn't even have a prom to say goodbye properly.

On behalf of the Texans, who went to the reuion for Eastcote Lane School,we would like to thank Syd and Joy Dean, for all the hard work they put in,Sue at the Hotel and her staff, made us feel very welcome, the kitchen staff fell over backwards to cook for us (fantastic food)The dance band was out of this world,we hope the battle of the flags was enjoyed by all,our flag now flys on a barge on the many canels in and around Harrow,so if you should see it,remember the Texans were there, and we will see you all at the next school reuion, thanks so much Syd and Joy,the stars at night do shine big and bright over England and Texas.
